Big Willow Home is a place for anyone who loves home design, decor, DIY and learning about your favorite designers! My name is Kara and I began this journey to chronicle our new build. I have found an entire community that loves to share the home building advice as well as fun design tips and tricks. Along with my husband Nic (who can build almost anything!) we will share our new build advice and fun design inspiration!

We have called many places home (Colorado and California) but we are very excited to be in the mountains and create our slice of paradise! This isn’t our first rodeo as we built a home in Colorado where we did our our own landscaping, fencing and built furniture! We also installed our own mantel, house humidifier, blinds, lighting, garage door opener and many other projects!

When were not thinking through design plans, landscaping, lighting and DIY we love to hike, travel, boat, snorkel, snowboard and throw parties! We hope we can share our passion and knowledge along the way! So glad you are here!
